Notes for a history of the IMG 10: A decisive turning point in Great Britain

November 5, 2015

TurnThis nicely produced pamphlet dates from December 1966 and contains a statement from the United Secretariat of the FI which concerns itself with the need for a united front of socialists and working class militants to put forward a programme to meet the crisis of the Wilson government. The emphasis is on the struggle within the Labour Party and the trade unions.

The pamphlet makes no direct mention of the International Group- the British supporters of the FI- but is published by the Pioneer Book Service in London. Alongside the press of the FI in France, Canada and the US, the rear of the pamphlet advertises World Politics, the duplicated magazine published and distributed by the British Section, but not The Week a broader socialist paper which was the public face of the group at that time.
