Stalinism, Eastern Europe and the IMG: Russian Intellectuals

CVS2The second pamphlet in the Communism vs Stalinism series takes a look at the dissident movement of Russian intellectuals from the 1950s. The key article by Oliver McDonald attempts to chart a course between the uncritical adulation of such intellectuals as Solzhenitzen in the West and the tendency of some in the revolutionary movement to write-off this opposition movement as essentially a right-wing or pro-western anti-stalinism.

It also includes two lesser know articles by Soviet dissidents Y. Yevtushenko and A. Mikhailov & A.Strikh.
