VSCTo add to our collection of VSC materials, here is a policy statement by the National Council of the Vietnam Solidarity Campaign.

Presented as a slim pamphlet it dates from 1966 or early 1967.

Why Vietnam Solidarity?

There was a rather good pamphlet by Ken Coates; ” The Dirty War in Mr Wilson; How he stopped worrying bout Vietnam and Learned to Love the Dollar”. Sadly, my copy went astray years ago. Does anyone have it?

Have some copies of “Indochina”, magazine of VSC from 197/71. Have scanned the last duplicated copy (July 1969) which I and another member of the editorial board duplicated and collated by hand at Whites Row (then the office of VSC) in the early hours of the morning. Once the IMG moved to Pentonville Road and Prinkipo Press was established, the organ was produced there on the offset litho. Unfortunately, these later editions (of which I have two) were produced in broadsheet format and then folded. I do not have the facilities to scan these but would happily lend them to this archive for reproduction. Shortly after the shift in production, I moved to Leeds, largely at the behest of Bob Pennington. I worked in engineering and became AUEW senior steward and pland Joint Shop Steward Cttee Convenor at a small Tube Investments Plant, Jackson Boilers. There were two IMG AUEW stewards and we had the ear of the others and were able to produce a factory bulletin “Jackson Workers News”. I have a copy of one issue, should this be of interest.
Let me know how to send these to you if of interest.
